Digital Dental X-Rays
In 2005, Compass Dental embraced digital radiography, or digital dental x-rays, for a variety of reasons. Number one: safety. Digital dental x-rays are safer for patients and for our staff, reducing everybody’s risk of exposure to harmful rays by almost 70%.
Root Canal Therapy
Root canals are alternatives to removing a tooth entirely due to an infected nerve. There are a number of reasons why the nerve of a tooth could die, and when it does, it can become infected and often very painful.
Oral Surgery
Oral surgery is defined as any procedure that involves cutting into and/or removing tissue from the mouth. At Compass Dental, our dentists regularly perform oral surgery for people of all ages, removing stubborn baby teeth that refuse to fall out, wisdom teeth in teenagers, and problem teeth for the elderly.
Oral Cancer Screening
At Compass Dental, we annually conduct complimentary screening for oral cancer using a VELscope, a small, hand-held device that can show us any abnormal tissues in the mouth. Regular screening is one of the best ways to detect early signs of oral cancer, so that effective treatment can begin quickly.
Smiles from the Heart
Since 2013, Compass Dental has held a free dentistry day in late-January. We offer fillings and extractions at no cost to those in the community who do not have access to dental care. On average, we see approximately 60 people. We all donate our time to this worthy cause.
